Hair transplant consultation with Dr. Jain

Dr. Jain begins every hair transplant journey with a comprehensive consultation, taking the time to understand your personal story and the reasons behind your decision to seek treatment. He places strong emphasis on the emotional and social impact of hair loss, recognizing its importance in your overall well-being.

As part of his 360-degree approach, Dr. Jain will explore various contributing factors such as stress, family history, lifestyle habits, smoking, and any underlying medical conditions. Since hair loss can result from a range of causes—including genetics, hormonal imbalances, medical disorders, and nutritional deficiencies—he may also recommend specific blood tests. These tests help evaluate hormone levels, thyroid function, and essential vitamin and mineral balances to accurately pinpoint the underlying cause.

This thorough evaluation enables Dr. Jain to develop a tailored treatment plan, ensuring that the grafts are placed in an optimal environment for long-term survival and natural growth.

What are the Differences between FUT AND FUE technique for hair transplant?

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) involves removing individual hair follicles from the donor area and transplanting them to the thinning or balding spots. This method leaves tiny, dot-like scars that are often hard to notice, even with short haircuts. Recovery is quicker, typically within 3–5 days, making it suitable for those with active lifestyles.

FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation), on the other hand, involves removing a strip of scalp from the donor area, from which individual follicular units are dissected and transplanted. This technique leaves a linear scar, which can be hidden with longer hair. The recovery period is longer, usually around 10–14 days.

Is hair transplant painful?

A hair transplant is typically not painful, especially with the use of local anesthesia and proper post-operative care. Most discomfort is mild and short-lived.
